Booster & Drainers

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

By Nan S. Russell Like huge anchors on cruise ships, other people can hold you down. Not intentionally, but their negativity impacts you. Its hard to be winning at working when youre anchored in place. Its hard to see the next great idea and enthusiastically embrace it, when youre feeling a sticky heaviness. And its hard to think creativity when youre feeling empty. Like a balloon with air pouring out, deflated and flat at the end, I hung up the phone, drained. For the most part Id offered a supportive ear with occasional contributions of asked for advice. Several days in a row, he called or stopped by my office, with a second, and a third, and a fourth verse of the same song. After each encounter, my energy felt zapped. It got to the point where Jays presence alone started my energy leaving, replaced with an empty heaviness as if his negative energy was seeping into me. It took me awhile to figure it out, but Jay was an energy drainer. Ive learned over the years, if I spend too much time around people with negative energy to share, my optimism, and enthusiasm for work (or life) are adversely affected. You may know people in your own work life who hold you down, zap your enthusiasm, cheer you into self-destruction, and occupy so much of your time and energy that you cant offer the best you to anyone, including yourself. And you know people who do the opposite. My solution? Use that feedback. Spend less work time with the drainers, and more time with people who offer you an energy boost. Once youve identified how it feels to be around energy boosters, look to fill gaps, especially on work teams, with people who bring positive energy to a meeting, who are fun to be around, whose enthusiasm and positive approach lifts your spirits, enhances your creativity, and adds to your work life. Find and stay close to these energy boosters. I use a simple measurement to identify energy drainers and energy boosters: the laugh factor. The more laughter I find in the process of doing business, the more energy I know is in the room. The more energy in the room, the more gets done. I look for people I can laugh with, have fun with and share ideas with. My work results are better when Im around people who make me feel energized when I leave them. Yours can be, too. New Year Resolution - Part 4

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

By Tracie Johanson In this five-part series of articles we’ve been talking about New Year Resolutions. In other articles we’ve already covered how to write them, long-term vs. short-term goals and the role of exercise in a resolution. The topic in this article is MOTIVATION! Now that we’ve all created a resolution that is specific, measureable, achievable, realistic and time-bound the question is HOW DO WE STAY MOTIVATED TO ACHIEVE THAT RESOLUTION? As it turns out, there’s no “magic motivation formula” out there. If such a potion existed, someone would be selling it and two-thirds of the United States wouldn’t be overweight! Even though there’s no such thing as a “secret motivational magic-wand”, there are some things we can do to help motivate ourselves to exercise more and eat less. The thing to remember is that not every idea will work for every person. We are all individuals with individual personalities and individual needs! So, what motivates you might not motivate me. That being said, let’s look at some motivation tools that have worked for others…..perhaps we’ll find some that will work for us! 1) Inform your friends, partners and others about your goals and get their support. For some of us, there’s nothing more motivating than a spouse or friend that supports us. 2) Buddy up with a co-worker to exercise on your lunch hour. Hold each other accountable! 3) Write down your New Year Resolution and post it on your ‘fridge. 4) Write down your measurements and/or weight and post it on the ‘fridge. 5) Hang a picture of yourself on the ‘fridge. 6) Listen to motivational tapes - for example, Tony Robbins is EXCELLENT. 7) Get a fitness education by reading fitness magazines and books. Knowledge is power! 8) Hang up pictures of beautiful, thin models as an example of what you’re trying to achieve. 9) Get some “skinny clothes” out of the closet and hang them up where you’ll see them every day. 10) Buy a bikini and hang it up where you’ll see it every day. 11) Keep a food journal, writing down every single thing you eat all day. 12) Keep an exercise journal and record in it your exercise sessions. 13) Talk with your doctor about the benefits of exercise. 14) Research and write down as many benefits of exercise as you can - hint: there are MORE THAN forty! This can be a very motivating process! 15) Draw a picture of yourself at your goal weight. Post it where you’ll see it daily. 16) Promise yourself that you’ll treat yourself to a massage, hair color, or whatever when you lose the first 10 pounds. 17) Get your blood pressure and cholesterol checked by your doctor. Post the results on the ‘fridge and promise to have them re-checked in six months. 18) Join a weight control club like TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) or Weight Watchers. 19) Find a friend or co-worker that is also trying to exercise more often. Bet him or her $25 that you can exercise more days in a row than they can! Once you’ve won that bet, do it again by betting double-or-nothing! 20) Take the “fat clothes” that you’re now too small for and GET RID OF ‘EM! Give them to charity, burn them, whatever - just get them out of the house! You won’t need them again! There are just a few ideas that we can use to help motivate ourselves. No single motivational technique will work for everyone, but each technique will work for someone! Good luck, stay motivated, and we’ll see you at the gym! * Copyright 2005 Pick Up The Pace. Your Five Acres

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

By Nan S. Russell It was the third time in as many weeks he’d asked to see me. Once again sitting across the desk, Jeff was expressing distress at something. This time he was upset that Lydia was making more money than he was. Last week he was unhappy with the hours Joe wasn’t putting in, leaving at five when he was often stuck past six. The week before, he registered a complaint about the way work assignments were handed out by his supervisor. As my mother would say, “Same song, thirtieth verse.” Jeff’s focus was on everything but his own work. He fixated on the latest rumors, viewed work policies as unfair, kept track of what was happening down the hall and fretted over what others might be getting that he wasn’t. Worrying what was happening in someone else’s work-acres, his own were filled with uncultivated opportunities and backlogged projects. In the process, he was sabotaging any chance of his own winning at working. In twenty years of management I’ve met too many Jeffs. People focused on everyone except themselves. They fritter time away trying to straighten out others, rather than deliver results. They complain, blame others and point fingers. They believe the world owes them a living, others are out to get them and nothing goes their way. You can recognize them by their victim mind-set and frequent anthem, “It’s not fair.” They’re right. Work-life isn’t fair, but then, what is? Does fair mean equal pay increases and work assignments? What people offer to the workplace isn’t equal, so how would it be “fair” if rewards were? Unbiased? Well, we all have biases and life happens to be subjective. Just? If just means one gets what’s merited, then for people like Jeff, the workplace is pretty just. They get back what they give, which is not much. That doesn’t mean the issues they raise are not valid, at times. But like Chicken Little, frequent complainers are tuned out. If Jeff focused attention on his own five acres, putting his energy into personal performance, he’d significantly impact his results and his rewards. He’d also impact his credibility and ability to be heard. In the words of novelist Aldous Huxley, “There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self.” People who are winning at working are too busy producing results to track what others may or may not be doing. They’re focused on their five work-acres, fertilizing them with new ideas, skills and challenges. They plant positive thought-seeds that yield high harvests and personal motivation. And when they consistently produce results in their corner of the universe, they help others do the same. Want to be winning at working? Make your five acres exceptional. Then don’t be surprised when you get more or better acres to tend. (c) 2006 Nan S. Russell. All rights reserved. Sign up to receive Nan’s free biweekly eColumn at http://www.winningatworking.com. Will Hoodithin Work For You

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

By Elysia Simmons Miracle Supplement takes the world by store Guaranteed to help you lose weight By far the best Supplement ever created . . . it could go on and on. Youve read it all over the internet and seen it on TV, but what you really want to know is does Hoodithin work? Marketing executives can make all the promises in the world, declare it gods gift if they dare but when it comes down to it, all you want to know is does it work, will it help you shed those unwanted kilos quick and easy. Hoodithin is a natural supplement that has been cleverly concocted from the well known Hoodia extract. Derived from a succulent plant in Southern Africa, Hoodia has been known for its weight loss qualities for some time. Hoodithin creators are unique in having used 100% Hoodia in their weight loss supplement. What people always want to know is does Hoodithin work? Will it assist you in losing weight? Well quite simply Hoodithin will. The creators of this supplement have managed to isolate specific sections of the Hoodia plant that have weight loss qualities. This extract suppresses the users appetite, banishing hunger pains and cravings. Without the assistance Hoodithin provides, dieters more often than not fall victim to their hunger pains and cheat on their diet. This brings about a constant and infuriating cycle of being good and losing weight one week, and then when the cravings get the better of you, you eat naughty the next and the weight is back on you simply will never win the weight loss battle. How it works is that the Hoodithin supplement provokes your body to release a chemical combination, similar to but more potent than glucose. The section of your brain that regulates your hunger drive, the Hypothalamus, receives this signal and is tricked into thinking it means you are full. Thus you wont feel the hunger that many go through hour after hour, day after day when trying to shed those unwanted kilos. Hoodithin, unlike many supplements on the market today is 100% natural and doesnt contain any dangerous stimulants. Users have noted that they didnt experience any of the unpleasant side effects that have become almost synonymous with weight loss supplements on the market. Hoodithin doesnt contain caffeine either, so you can take it before bed and suppress those irritating cravings throughout the night. So, in answering your question does Hoodithin work? The answer is yes. Will Hoodithin help you lose weight? The answer is also yes. The 100% pure Hoodia extract will help you say goodbye to those hunger pains that seem to haunt dieters day after day. Without those nuisance hunger pangs you can easily stick to your diet and lose those unwanted kilos fast. Elysia Simons is a writer and researcher on many diet pills like Hoodithin. The Attraction of Pigtails

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

By Alan Decker Very young girls wear their hair in pigtails because their mommies do their hair for them. Of course, this is because the hairstyle is easy and moms just want their little girls to look cute. When girls get older, the pigtails hairstyle is sometimes selected out of choice. This certainly goes for teenagers, but it is also true for young women as they mature into their 20’s, and sometimes beyond. This begs the question, “Why?” Why do young women sometimes choose to wear their hair in pigtails? The possible reasons for pigtails being a hairstyle of choice are many, some more obvious than others. When the weather is hot, getting the hair away from the head is a cooler way to go, and pigtails help immensely. When a girl is short on time and needs to get her hair ready in a jiffy, pigtails are quick and easy. Ladies might wear pigtails as a fashion statement. Or they might wear them because they want to look young, playful, cute, or sexy. (And yes, pigtails can be both cute and sexy at the same time.) Another possibility for pigtails is when a young lady wishes to present herself as an enigma. “Is she a good girl pretending to be bad, or a bad girl trying to look good?” And then there’s the best reason for a young woman to wear pigtails: she wants to be a Pigtail Dream Girl at PigtailDreams.com! But seriously, pigtails are an attention getter, and the more mature the woman wearing pigtails, the more attention those pigtails get. So, why do pigtails attract attention? Let’s start with reasons for men liking pigtails. (OK, not all males enjoy pigtails, but most do, even if secretly.) Pigtails represent youth and, in our society, youth is attractive. As I said above, pigtails are cute and sexy, and what man doesn’t enjoy a female showing off something cute and sexy? Some men fall for the enigma thing: “Why is this lady wearing pigtails? What is she up to?” Other men, myself included, see a woman in pigtails and think, “Wow, this lady is truly special.” But pigtails also attract the attention of other females, who pretty much react the same way that men do, but with additional possible thoughts like, “She’s such a child!”, “What a slut!”, or “Wow, I wish I had the guts to wear pigtails.” So, we see here that there are oodles of reasons for pigtails to be appreciated by pigtail wearers and pigtail observers alike. But I will close with what pigtails mean to me. To me, an adult female with her hair in pigtails screams confidence. This is a lady who is fun-loving, outgoing, bold, and confident. She likes what she has, but knows what else she wants, and is determined to get it. This is a woman with very high self-esteem. There are women all over the world capable of being dream girls, but it takes a truly special lady to have the confidence to be a Pigtail Dream Girl. Colorado Bassin’ 101

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

By Eric Allee I know a lot of fisherman in Colorado mainly target trout, but the bass fishing can be excellent at times too!!! During the summer months I spend most of my fishing time on smaller ponds targeting those big old bucketmouths. They bite hard, fight hard, and will have any angler addicted if given the chance. A lot of trout fisherman have problems making the transition to bass for a few reasons. When you’re used to throwing out tiny spinners and spoons, a big bass plug or jig looks huge. Bass routinely eat bluegills, baby bass, bullfrogs, and even snakes, so don’t be shy about using big tackle…its amazing how many small fish I’ll catch using a big Zara Spook. Do you have to buy a new rod and reel for bass fishing? No!!! You can get away with using light tackle in certain situations…actually for most smaller ponds in the metro area light tackle is perfect. It limits the baits you can throw, but smaller baits can really shine at times. If you’re going to use your trout rod and reel, I suggest no lighter than 6lb test and stick to lines without too much stretch. If small diameter lines are what you’re comfortable with, I would use a braided line…Berkley Fire Lne is awesome. I always prefer a rod with a lot of back bone to ensure good hook sets!!! Let’s talk about some basic lures and plastics to get you started. Lipless crankbaits such as the Cordell Spot or Rattlin’ Trap are great lures that don’t take years to master. Using a basic slow retrieve will get you hooked into a good number of fish at many local lakes and ponds. Early in the year a Firetiger Rattlin Trap is killer on Spratt Platte(100th and Mckay). Like I said, just make long casts and a slow retrieve…Don’t worry about jigging or complicating things. Cast her out and reel her in!!! Senkos!! Senkos!! Senkos!! These plastics are fish catching machines even though they don’t look like much. If you’re not familiar with the Senko style plastic worm, it pretty much looks just like a pen. You can rig a Senko style worm a number of different ways, but for me the most productive has always been “wacky rigged”. Basically all you do is get a light wire hook and stick it right in the middle of your Senko style worm. After you make a cast, the Senko slowly flutters to the bottom and it drives fish crazy. Bite detection is a little different when fishing a Senko…although there will be times that your line darts off and, without a doubt, you have a fish on. There will also be days when the only detection of a bite is a little twitch in your line. Basically any little ticks or pauses on the fall…I set the hook. After the Senko hits the bottom, leave it there for as long as a few minutes, look for little ticks in your line, and set the hook. A great place to use Senko’s is Quincy Reservoir in Aurora!!! I suggest waders to get to some of the brush piles, but right off the dock will put you onto fish as well. So many different companies have Senko style worms now its hard to keep up, but the Zoom Centipede is my favorite. With this lipless crankbait and Senko combination you have the arsenal to attack many of the metro area bass lakes!!! Now its time for my favorite way to catch fish, hands down…Topwater!!! Everyday during the spring and summer months I’ll be at one of my bass lakes before the sun comes up tossing out Zara Spooks and Buzzbaits. If you’ve never caught a bass on topwater lures, you,re truly missing out. Although I’ve caught fish all day on topwater lures, the best times are low light periods…early in the morning, and as the sun goes down. First, lets talk about using a Zara Spook…If you’re not familiar with a Zara Spook, its what we call a walking bait. Basically thru a series of short jerks with your rod tip, you can make your Zara Spook “Walk the Dog”. It takes time and practice but once you get used to walking the dog, its cake. With a Zara Spook you’re limited to areas where there isn’t too much weed growth on top, due to having a couple of exposed treble hooks. My favorite way to fish a Zara Spook is parallel to shore lines. Casting 3 or 4 feet out from shore and walking the dog all the way in will get some explosive strikes. When fishing topwater lures, it’s really common for bass to miss the lure a couple times before taking it. So if you get a hit, but don’t hook up, cast back to the same spot as fast as possible. 9 times out of 10, the fish will hit again. Another thing thats hard for fisherman who have just started fishing topwater baits is to wait until you actually feel the fish on before setting the hook. I know its hard to hold back when you see a fish smack your lure, but you’ll catch a lot more bass if you wait until you feel the fish before setting the hook. My all time favorite Zara Spook color…hands down…is red and white. Buzzbaits are really effective top water lures and on average produce larger fish. No need to get fancy just casting out and reeling in fast enough to keep your bait above water is perfect. To really maximize results when fishing a buzzbait, bumping cover is a must. If you see a fallen log floating in the water cast over it and bring your lure right over the top of it. Something about buzzbaits hitting objects in the water drives bass nuts. Sure you’ll get hung up and lose a few but its well worth the numbers and size of fish while bumping cover. My favorite color buzzbait is black!!! Hopefully this helps out a little. If you have any questions, use the forum or email me and I’ll gladly put you onto some great metro area bass lakes. Spring is just around the corner and to the people in the know, it means great bass fishing in our own backyard!!! Eric Allee is a tremendous fisherman in Colorado. His greatest joy is helping others catch more and bigger fish. Do It Yourself Favors - Ideas and Tips

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

By Erica Tevis Perhaps your on a budget, and you would like to give wedding favors, but rather not spend a small fortune. Or perhaps, all of the standard wedding favors out there are not quite your style; you want something unique that your guests have never received. Maybe you are a crafty person and rather create your wedding favors by hand - you feel personal touches are important! Whatever your reason for exploring the do it yourself wedding favor category, you are sure to find something within your budget, unique and craft inspired. The first step in creating do it yourself (DIY) wedding favors is finding the right packaging. It could be as simple as a roll of tulle / tulle circles, to organza bags, or fun shaped boxes. It could be extravagant such as purchasing a patterned silk or designer fabric covered boxes (such boxes can be used at a later date by your guests to hold trinkets). With so many choice out there, it may be hard to decide what type of packaging to use! At this point, you will also need to decide how many to purchase. Do you want to place one favor at each place setting, or one favor per couple / single guest? Next, you will need to decide on a type of filler for your wedding favor package. Candy is a popular choice for the bride on a budget, it’s inexpensive and everyone loves a sweet treat. At local gift shops, candy stores or party supply stores, you can find different types of mints, jordan almonds, chocolates, or jelly beans. Not up for candy? You can fill them with a small token of appreciation, such as a bookmark, a key chain, wildflower seeds, a small decorative soap (look in bath stores), homemade cookies, a cookie cutter, a small decorative tea light candle, or even lip balm. You can also make something such as a wedding music cd, fill it with a mini photo album, or perhaps a personalized wedding favor pen. Once you have decided on both the packaging and the item, there are finishing touches. A simple and cheap wedding favor idea is purchasing a few large rolls of curling ribbon in your wedding colors, and simply tying and curling the ribbon around the package. You could also finish off your favors with a personalized ribbon with your names and date. Small touches such as rings, hearts, roses, flowers, and sprays can also be added for a unique touch - all of which can be purchased in bulk at a local craft supply store. Whatever your budget, with a bit of imagination and a few hours of your time, you can create a beautiful do it yourself wedding favor that you can be proud to present at your wedding. Your guests will appreciate the time you took to create your favors, and you will get a wonderful feeling of satisfaction that you created a warm thank you to send your guests home with. From Fat to Fit: Read One Woman’s Amazing Weight Loss Story

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

By Gregg Gillies An Interview with Success Story, Caitlin Johnson If you don’t know who Caitlin is, you will soon. Sheappears in the June, 2005 Issue of Ironman Magazine. But Caitlin isn’t your everyday super fitness competitor/model.Let’s face it, many women look at women in these magazinesand wish they were blessed with their genetics. They think theydon’t have your problems, or your metabolism and they don’thave to work nearly as hard to look as good as they do.They’re just lucky. Well, no more excuses. Cat worked extremely hard to getwhere she is. And I had the pleasure of interviewing thisamazing young woman. After you read this inspiring interview, you can go to my site and see some wonderful before and after pictures. 1. Cat, you’ve managed to lose 70 pounds of fat. This is phenomenal and I congratulate you once again. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. Many people are unhappy with their weight, their job, etc. What was it that finally motivated you to get in the gym and start eating properly? Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you are like most people, you must’ve been unhappy with how you looked for some time before making the committment to do something about it.. If this is accurate, what do you think kept you from taking action all that time? A. 1) When your stuck in a lifestyle that is unhealthy but familiar it has to been something exstreme to motivate you to change your life. For me it was the scale and me making 182lbs, which was 20 pounds away from 200 pounds. In my mind 200 lbs was too heavy and I decided I could never make that weight and be able to live with myself. Second I had just taken a kickboxing class from a teacher that had the ultimate physique and I could relate to her because she was short and a female. Every day I trained with Denise Hart I worked hard because I was striving to look like her. What kept me from really putting my whole heart into training before is I didn’t relate to the other trainers because they were men and I couldn’t relate to them. Even now as a competitive athlete my trainers relate to me because they’ve all been athletes. 2. How did you get started with your new liftestyle? In other words, what changes did you make, or planning did you do, to give yourself the best chance at success? A. 2) To get started Denise gave me a plan and I tried to follow it the best I could. Small meals, no sugar or fat, lot’s of cardio and two full body circuits. 3. What problems did you have to overcome in order to stay on track with your new fitness program? You obviously must have been living a dramatically different lifestyle than you had lived previously. Some of the popular excuses I’ve heard from people I’ve trained include “not enough time”(both for exercising and eating right), “eating healthy is too expensive”, “don’t see results fast enough”, “weights will make me big and bulky”, “have trouble sticking with an exercise routine”. What were the obstacles you had to overcome? A 3) For me if I have a plan to follow I’m fine. It’s when I’m not restricted I lose control. In the beginning I had to realize if I drank 3 beers a night I wasn’t going to lose weight. I also have quite a sweet tooth so I had to cut my sugaryStarbucks drinks out. 4) How did you overcome those problems? What specific techniques did you use to make your dreams a reality? A 4) Denise would be hard on me and tell me not to waste her time. She was right and the harder she was on me the better I was. She use to say “Do you want it”? In my mind that made me strive far and never give up. 5) Moving forward and knowing what you know now, what would you have done differently? A 5) I would’ve signed on with Kim Oddo in the beginning . It took me four years because I didn’t eat much protein and then for a few years did the no carb diet which was a total waste of time. 6. What would you have done the same way, and will continue to do, going forward? A 6) CARDIO BABY! It burns calories, raises endorphins, relieves stress, etc. 7. Do you feel that ongoing feedback and motivational tools would help in maintaining a fitness program? For example, appearing in the June, 2005 issue of Ironman must be very motivational. This won’t be a motivational tool most people can use. Before achieving that type of success, what types of motivational tools did you lose to keep going? After all, you don’t lose 70 pounds of fat overnight and it must’ve taken some time before you could see the positive changes in the mirror. A 7) What some people don’t realize is a support team can be the most important thing in training to reach a hard goal. I truly believe in having a great trainer like Joanne Rubienstein, Kim Oddo, Stephen Bauer or Denise Hart. I personally love to train so I don’t need motivation to get to the gym but when the results slow down I need someone to tell me that I can do it. What kept me going was the belief that I could do it and prove the world wrong. Sometimes it feels like my job is to prove people wrong. They talk their talk but in the end I will accomplish what I’m striving for and they’ll look dumb for saying that I’ll never achieve my goal. Sorry if that was a little pissy, but I get tired of people doubting me. If I can drop 40% body fat I think I can make it to Olympia! 8. If you were to advise a close friend or family member hot to follow in your fitness footsteps, what would you tell them? A 8) Run far away and find an enjoyable job! I truly believe I did all this because of fate. I don’t even really remember the time I said I want to be a competitor. The diets and training are tough and rewarding at the same time. I have accomplished a lot but I also sacrifice a lot of things in life that are enjoyable. All I can say is I’m going after a DREAM and won’t give up until I accomplish it. It’s not only for me, it’s for the general population that has lost belief in themselves. My advice is to go after your dreams, believe in yourself and get the right people to help you. Use Properly Applied Mascara To Enhance The Natural Beauty Of Your Eyes

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

By Gregg Hall The eyes have long been referred to as the windows to the soul. When people meet for the first time one of the first things they look to are the eyes. Knowing the attention your eyes receive mascara is a great way to keep them looking beautiful and appealing. Mascara is a form of makeup made especially for applying to your eyelashes. The point of mascara is to enhance the beauty of the eyes by making them look more open and accentuating your lashes. Mascara is an inexpensive way to add to your natural beauty and since it is inexpensive easy to have on hand. There is however a couple of important health issues related to the use of mascara. First it is important to only apply mascara while in front of a mirror. People have been seen driving down the road while applying mascara, which is an obvious danger to them and others. You should never apply mascara in any type of moving vehicle, whether you are driving or not. The risk of permanent damage to your eye is great in a moving vehicle and not worth the risk. Another important safety issue in relation to wearing mascara is sharing mascara with another person. Although this may seem perfectly harmless activity it can actually cause great trouble. There are bacteria in your eyes, which are unique in every person; sharing mascara can cause transference of bacteria, which can lead to infection and illness. Viral conjunctivitis is also a common virus that is easily transferred from one person to another when sharing mascara. Therefore you should never share your mascara with anyone. Another important health and safety habit is to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before applying mascara so you do not introduce bacteria or infectious materials that may be fine on your hands but prove dangerous for your eyes. You need to replace your bottle of mascara every three months, sooner if the mascara is becoming especially sticky or full of clumps. This is due to the chemicals breaking down in the mascara after the three months. Applying mascara will draw attention to your eyes making them more crisp and clear looking by giving an illusion of a more open eye. Mascara is a great part of your daily makeup, even if you have no time to apply makeup, mascara alone will make you look awake and beautiful. Choosing what type and color of mascara is dependent on personal taste. For the most part there is little difference in quality between mascaras. There is also waterproof and regular mascara. If you tend to have problems with smearing your mascara you may want to try waterproof. In the same regard waterproof mascara is often difficult to remove. If you have a hard time taking off the mascara try switching to regular. Regardless of what type of mascara you try wearing it everyday will give more attention to your eyes.
